Jennifer Mitzner is chief financial officer at Baylor Scott & White Health, the largest not-for-profit health system in Texas. The system’s integrated delivery network includes Baylor Scott & White Health Plan, Baylor Scott & White Research Institute, Baylor Scott & White Quality Alliance and its leading digital health platform, MyBSWHealth. Through 52 hospitals and more than 1,300 access points, including flagship academic medical centers in Dallas, Fort Worth and Temple, the system offers the full continuum of care, from primary to award-winning specialty care, as well as an array of virtual and in-home services.
In her role, Mitzner oversees finance, accounting and revenue cycle functions.
Before joining Baylor Scott & White, Mitzner served as executive vice president of Hoag Health and chief executive officer of Hoag Orthopedic Institute. Earlier, she served as chief financial officer of St. Joseph Hoag Health, an integrated network created by the affiliation of St. Joseph Health and Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian and chief financial officer of Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian. She began her career in the Healthcare Advisory Practice at the accounting firm KPMG.
A member of multiple professional organizations, Mitzner is active in the community. She previously served on the board of directors of Hoag Orthopedic Institute. Among industry honors, Mitzner is a multi-year honoree in Becker’s Hospital Review’s Hospital and health system CFOs to know.
Mitzner received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Texas Christian University and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of San Francisco. She is a certified public accountant.
